Music is like earth, air, fire, and water: a basic element that man cannot live without. — Yehudi Menuhin
It’s the birds, the bees, the wind in the trees—nature’s beauty and power captured in song. Under Roxanne Martel’s direction, we perform tender love ballads, hymns to the earth, a tango-inspired “Noche de la lluvia,” and music expressing seasons of renewal and transformation. The international repertoire ranges from folk tunes from Quebec, poetry by Robert Frost and Christina Rossetti, and spirited calls for peace on earth. Both chorale pieces and ensembles are featured in the programme, and we will be accompanied by the talented pianist Oksana Zotova, who will also play a virtuoso classical piece.
Your attendance will also help support our charity partner: Innovation Jeunes (www.innovationjeunes.com). The mission of Innovation Youth is to offer a supportive community space for youth and families living in or frequently visiting downtown, opening up the possibilities of integration into academic, creative, family, and social life.
