What we'll do

Different duties are done by group volunteers to keep the Daily bread running smoothly. These activities include food sorting where volunteers are categorizing and boxing perishable and non-perishable food donations. Others can help out in the kitchen work by doing vegetable prep, cleaning, and dishwashing. Volunteers are also needed to serve the food in our on-site food bank.

Founded in 1983, Daily Bread Food Bank has grown to become one of Canada’s largest food banks. We believe that access to food is a basic human right, not a privilege. No one should go hungry. We believe that no one should face barriers in accessing food. Our Vision End poverty and hunger in our communities. Our Mission Support our member agencies to provide food and assistance to people struggling with hunger. Reduce poverty through research, education and the promotion of social change.
