But du bénévolat

The Walk to Cure Diabetes is a powerful fundraising event for families, friends and business in communities across Canada. The Walk is an annual celebration of hope – the hope of living in a world free of insulin injections, finger pokes, and the constant threat of developing complications. The event raises awareness about T1D and collects crucial funds for research to help cure, better treat and prevent diabetes The Event will be held on June 10 in the Nature Center in Laval. There will be a free shuttle bus from the Cartier Metro Station going to the Centre de la Nature de Laval, starting from 7:00 am in the morning. The shuttle bus will bring participants and volunteers back to the Cartier Metro Station between 1:00pm -3:00pm. The event is separated into different sections and parts and volunteers would help with a certain task. The tasks vary from working in the Registration booth taking in people’s donations to helping in the BBQ area, the full list of tasks can be found on the event’s web page http://jdrfwalk.ca/Get-Involved/Volunteer. Every section includes more than one volunteer working on it and so we can organize for groups to remain together if they want to.
